In the State of Minnesota, we use MARSS (Minnesota Automated Reporting Student System) for student reporting. For each entry in the system there is a numerical code, whether you are reporting gender or ethnicity. The SAI system utilized drop down menus for each reporting area and makes data entry for student records a breeze. I can take a new employee and have them enter student records right away without having to memorize any codes. I would recommend the SAI system for student records for any school.

As a teacher, SAI is an easy system to navigate. Teachers can access student records and make changes in real-time. Because it’s accessible from the Internet, teachers can enter information from anywhere with an Internet connection. SAI is a good choice for teachers, especially when teaching in an alternative setting.

I joined a charter school in Blaine, MN after having been a potter for 23 years, with vast amount of volunteering in public schools for over 28 years. I was there ready to help with what ever needed to be done. When I started to learn their existing programs — File Maker Pro with a Power School for state reporting — I was overwhelmed. The system was old and failing miserably, so I was very excited to hear that we were to become a test sight for a new product called SAI. To be able to go down to one system that would answer all our needs was a great time saver. Of course, with any developing product we experienced bumps and bruises but there was never a problem that wasn’t taken care of or a question answered quicker than with the team we had at our disposal. Their willingness to help with any situation is invaluable. The ease of use in the program was great, please remember, I came from playing with clay. The best part of SAI was that it allowed me to get the job done and in such a timely manner as to allow me more time for the real reason that we are in this business of education — the student.

The Oak Land Area Learning Center visited many schools and explored many student data software systems before selecting SAI. SAI has best suited our school for recording attendance and membership for seat-time and independent study programs. SAI has developed several components critical to our unique needs as well as written several reports to access and retrieve student data. We found the help we received from SAI to be timely and friendly.

Teachers and staff enjoy the online access to student information having the ability to view and enter student data away from school. Administrative assistants like the ease of entering MARSS data, student test scores and student graduation needs. Students, parents, and staff like the benefit of accessing to up-to-date student progress reports.
